Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Terry R. Preece Consulting LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information for Friends Sports Messaging, Golf With Friends, and Pickleball With Friends.

SMS privacy commitment: We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile information, text messaging originator opt-in data, and consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Information we collect

Account and contact information, such as name, phone number, and email address.
Sports-group information, including memberships, invitations, RSVPs, schedules, lineups, scores, and preferences.
Messaging-consent records, including accept or decline status, date and time, program, disclosure version, IP address, and browser or device information.
Operational information used to secure, diagnose, and improve the apps.

How we use information

We use information to operate the apps, coordinate private sports groups, authenticate member links, provide requested notifications, maintain consent and opt-out records, prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems, and comply with applicable legal and carrier requirements.

Text messaging

Text messages are optional. Depending on the program selected, they may include pickleball or golf invitations, RSVP reminders, lineup updates, tee-time or schedule changes, and related group notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help.

Declining text messages does not prevent use of either app. We retain consent and opt-out records to honor choices and demonstrate compliance.

Service providers and disclosures

We may use service providers to host the apps, store data, deliver messages, monitor reliability, or provide other operational services. They may process information only as needed to provide those services on our behalf. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

Mobile information and SMS consent are excluded from any disclosure to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the services, maintain accurate consent and opt-out records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no electronic system is completely secure.

Your choices

You may decline messaging in either app, reply STOP to unsubscribe, or contact us to request help with access, correction, or deletion of applicable information. Some records may be retained when required for security, legal, or compliance purposes.

Children

The services are intended for adults coordinating recreational sports groups and are not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
